Description

A matching set of vintage French Provincial–style ceramic stoneware in a warm cream body with a glossy dark brown drip glaze over the upper half. The two-tone glaze has the look of traditional French country and café pottery, and it fits easily into farmhouse, cottage, or rustic kitchen décor.

The set includes:

  • Pair of salt and pepper shakers, about 3¼–3½ inches tall, with dark brown perforated tops
  • Lidded single jar (sugar, mustard, or preserve pot), about 3½–4 inches tall to the lid knob
  • Double condiment server with a center carrying handle and two matching knobbed lids, about 3½–4 inches tall

The glaze is glossy on the brown areas and slightly softer on the cream lower bodies, with natural variation in the drip line from piece to piece. Only the single jar has a mark on the bottom, and it is too light to read, so the maker is unidentified. This style of brown-over-cream drip stoneware was widely made in the mid-century and 1970s era, both in Europe and as French-country-inspired imports.

Useful for everyday salt, pepper, jam, mustard, or relishes, or as a display set. Please see the photos for exact condition and measurements.
