Description
Unmarked, Hand-blown crackle art glass fruits capture light in a way smooth glass never can. Each piece is formed from molten glass, plunged into cold water so a network of fine fractures blooms across the surface, then reheated to seal and strengthen the glass. The result is a glittering, ice-like texture that shifts as you walk past it.
These fruits, an apple, pear represent harvest shapes, no two crackle patterns are identical, so every piece has its own character.
They work as paperweights, still-life accents on a sideboard, or grouped in a bowl for year-round harvest décor. Mid-century makers such as Blenko and Kanawha, along with Murano-style workshops, popularized this look; the crackle is intentional and part of the design, not damage. Display them where light can catch the fractures and they become small, luminous sculptures that never go out of season.
