Description
This is a Series 1969 C United States ten-dollar Federal Reserve Note from the Minneapolis district, and it is a star note. Alexander Hamilton’s portrait sits at center. The black Federal Reserve seal carries letter I for Minneapolis, with district numeral 9 in the corners. The green Treasury seal sits at right. Serial number I 01745831 ★ (star) appears in green, marking this as a Bureau of Engraving and Printing replacement note issued when a damaged sheet was pulled from production.
Series 1969 C is printed on the face. The reverse shows the classic U.S. Treasury Building vignette with the period automobile on the street in front, an instantly recognizable mid-century ten-dollar back design, with Ten Dollars along the bottom and ornate corner 10s. The note is in a clear protective sleeve so both sides can be examined without bare handling.
Condition shows in the photos, with honest circulation: a visible vertical center crease through the portrait area, some light aging tone and minor spotting consistent with a note that spent time in commerce before being saved. Edges remain intact and all printing is fully readable. Star notes are always a step above ordinary serials for many collectors; a Minneapolis 1969 C star with the classic Treasury reverse is a distinctive find for a currency collection or gift.
