Description
Offered here is a Series 1969 B United States five-dollar Federal Reserve Note from the Chicago district, housed in a clear protective sleeve. Abraham Lincoln’s oval portrait anchors the face, flanked by the black Federal Reserve seal with letter G and the green Treasury seal. District number 7 appears in the design corners, identifying the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Illinois, a district that shows up often in Midwestern collections.
The green serial number G 08300194 C prints in the upper right and lower left. Series 1969 B is marked to the lower right of the portrait. The note carries the printed Treasurer and Secretary of the Treasury signatures for this series pairing as visible on the face. The reverse is the classic Lincoln Memorial greenback layout with ornate corner 5s, In God We Trust, and Five Dollars across the bottom, the familiar small-portrait design before later colorful redesigns.
Visually the note appears crisp and well preserved: paper looks clean and flat, edges and corners look sharp, and there are no prominent circulation folds, tears, or stains visible through the sleeve in the listing photos. Ink contrast on seals and serials looks strong. An attractive mid-century Chicago $5 for collectors who want a clearly labeled 1969 B example with strong eye appeal and is ready for an album page or a thoughtful gift.
