Description
Here is a Series 1963 A United States twenty-dollar Federal Reserve Note from Chicago, serial G 62945791 A, shown front and back in a clear protective sleeve. Jackson’s portrait, the black G Federal Reserve seal, district 7 numerals, and the green Treasury seal identify the note at a glance. Series 1963 A and the Granahan / Fowler signatures place it firmly in the mid-1960s Federal Reserve issue window for Chicago notes.
The reverse is the classic White House design with In God We Trust and Twenty Dollars in traditional green ink and ornate corner 20s. This is the familiar small-portrait twenty layout collectors associate with the decades before the large-portrait redesigns of the late 1990s and 2000s, clean engraved architecture and leafy scroll borders throughout the face of the reverse.
Condition is circulated but respectable: a distinct vertical center crease through the portrait, light aging to the paper, and otherwise intact edges with fully readable printing on seals, serials, and text. No large tears or missing corners are apparent. A solid Chicago Series 1963 A twenty for a type set, gift, or starter currency collection, honest wear, clear identifiers, and ready to keep sleeved in an album.
