Description
Offered is a Series 1963 A United States twenty-dollar Federal Reserve Note from the Chicago district, housed in a clear currency sleeve. Andrew Jackson’s oval portrait centers the face. The black Federal Reserve seal shows letter G for Chicago, with district 7 numerals in the design field, and the green Treasury seal sits over the large word TWENTY. Serial number G 07917765 A prints in green at upper right and lower left.
Series 1963 A is marked near the portrait. Signatures are those of Kathryn O’Hay Granahan and Henry H. Fowler. The reverse features the classic White House south-facade engraving with The United States of America above, In God We Trust, and Twenty Dollars below, the traditional greenback twenty design used for decades before modern large-portrait redesigns of later years.
This note shows clear circulated character: a prominent vertical center fold through Jackson’s portrait, additional light handling creases, softly aged paper tone, slightly softened corners, and minor marks visible on the face in the photos. It remains fully intact with readable seals, serials, and text—no large tears or missing pieces. A genuine mid-1960s Chicago twenty with honest wear, deal for collectors who prefer circulated notes with real history in the folds or those just beginning their collection journey.
