We did not test this radio. It is new-in-box and never used, so we did not want to ruin its unused condition. We cannot guarantee that it works. If you are truly interested in purchasing it and want it tested we will be happy to, just send us a note.

This is a General Electric HELP! full-power 40-channel two-way emergency CB radio kit, model 3-5908A, in its original black hard-shell carrying case. The case lid graphic shows the GE logo, bold orange HELP! lettering, and “Full Power 40 Channel 2-Way Emergency / Information CB Radio,” with case marking 3-5908. Inside the lid is a color “Quick, easy, 3 step set-up” sticker (roof magnet antenna, cigarette-lighter power, talk on channel).

The handheld transceiver has a silver face, red HELP! branding, GE “We bring good things to life” logo, channel and volume knobs, local/distant receiving-range slider, red push-to-talk bar, and a panel marked 40 Channel Emergency 2-Way Radio / Full 4 Watts Power with power and transmit indicators. Included accessories visible in the case include the telescopic whip, black GE magnetic antenna mount, coiled cigarette-lighter power cord, FCC “Plain English Rules — Citizens Band Radio Service” pamphlet, and GE HELP! instructional sticker material.

Back-panel markings confirm GENERAL ELECTRIC Citizen Band Transceiver, MODEL NO. 3-5908A, FCC ID AKJ9YD3-5908, Made in Hong Kong, date code 4409, serial no. 00043704. The case shows scuffs and age wear on the exterior; the radio and accessories look clean and well organized in the foam/compartments.
